Duties:

Provides programmatic assistance to the State Conservationist, Assistant State Conservationist - Management and Strategy, State Office, Area and Field offices related to the administration and implementation of Farm Bill Programs for Minnesota.

• Develop MS Access tracking systems for Farm Bill program elements not currently tracked in other business tools. Create, populate, maintain, develop reports and analyze data metrics to identify improvement opportunities. 30%
• Maintains tracking and controls of developed tracking systems. Provide support through typing, copying, editing and mailing documents, scanning, analyzing data and developing spreadsheets and other electronic files. 30%
• Communicates orally and in writing. Prepares database tracking systems, reports, and email communications. Electronically files and organizes information. Prepares documents, uploads and retrieves information from Share Point. Enters information into Excel spreadsheets and related databases. Other duties as assigned 30%
• Communicates with program managers and program recipients to collect documentation and submit reports. 10%

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point and Tableau. Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Access and Excel programs. Use of office automation equipment including scanner, printer, and fax. Knowledge of computer internet security/cyber security. . OR AA Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Agronomy or related field of study, business management/Computer Science.

• Valid State Driver’s license; Skill in operating personal computer software, as well as simple programming (including word processing, spreadsheets, email, file transfers, internet, time keeping, and databases), in order to research, tabulate, and analyze economic data, prepare correspondence, finalize documents, and foster work improvement.
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
• Adobe Acrobat, Tableau
