NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an “at-will” relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. PLEASE NOTE: An “Enrollee” is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An “Enrollee” is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. This opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States. Duration: This position is currently funded for 722 hours. |

Duties: The enrollee will contribute to the New Mexico Range Program through Land Health Assessments/Land Health Evaluations, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents, grazing decisions, Cooperative Monitoring Agreements, etc. Provide assistance to help promote and track projects as they are implemented. This also includes the monitoring process and information applied to evaluate effects of projects and results of monitoring. Summarizing processes in written form for various rangeland projects or administrative duties to prepare new employees, volunteers, or interns (if any are available). Administration of Tribal Ranch Allotments and other grazing allotments. Sagebrush Treatments-planning and execution for Fall 2026.
Qualifications: Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Rangeland Management OR MA/MS Degree in Rangeland Management with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in Rangeland Management
